The fruit comes from a tree called Coco Palm. The fruit is commonly called the fruit of life because of its various uses. At the young stage, the skin is light green, oval in shape, with still soft shell, very tender meat and sweet water. Young coconut meat is commonly taken as snack and refreshment. The fruit size is about 2.0-2.5 kgs/nut average weight.
